MILTON PROJECT

Overview

Rock Energy Cooperative built a new substation, the Red Hawk Substation, near Milton Harmony Townline Road and County Highway M. The substation serves a growing need for reliable electric service in the area and supports continued growth of the Milton Industrial Park.

ATC built 4-mile, 69,000-volt transmission line to connect the new Red Hawk Substation to the transmission grid that serves the south central Wisconsin area. The substation is fed from an existing 69,000-volt transmission line that runs parallel to County Highway Y from the Janesville area into the City of Milton.
