N. APPLETON - LOST DAUPHIN

Project overview

Work was completed to replaced 15 transmission structures between the North Appleton Substation in Appleton and the Lost Dauphin Substation in DePere. Because these facilities were carrying increased electrical load, the resulting "sagging" of the line created ground-to-wire clearance problems when the line was heavily loaded.

The new, taller structures have mitigated this problem.

Schedule

Construction work scheduled to begin: January 2008

Scheduled in-service: February 2008
